Government Transportation Research Information Committee (GTRIC) Program, Sunday June 6 8:30 am – 4:30 pm

Nina McLawhorn, Wisconsin DOT Research Administrator, and others have suggested that the various professionals involved in technology and information transfer, in addition to librarians, need to be involved in addressing the recommendations contained in the Scoping Study for a National Strategic Plan for Transportation Information Management http://trblist.tamu.edu/products/documents/scoping_study_final_report.pdf. The GTRIC annual meeting will involve a discussion to develop recommendations on how best to pursue collaborative relationships within the transportation community, (including networks and consortia) and how best to align existing services and programs with those provided by transportation librarians\.
