GTRIC: Your Bridge to the Dynamic World of Transportation Information, Sunday June 15 8:00 am – 3:00 pm

GTRIC (Government Transportation Research Information Committee) is your ticket to successfully navigating the maze of transportation information. A guide to the players in transportation libraries and how they fit together will open the session. Then NTL will describe its role as a digital repository for your transportation documents and TRB will report results of the TRIS survey done earlier this year. A how-to segment will show you how to catalog a born digital document and use the Transportation Research Thesaurus to supplement subject headings. Better access to NTIS reports and catalog records will be outlined. The regional Transportation Knowledge Networks will update us on their activities. A management segment will address integrating your operation with your parent organization’s objectives. All that, and plenty of time to network with your colleagues – GTRIC is a something you shouldn’t miss!
