The Government Transportation Research Information Committee (GTRIC) Roundtable is a forum for sharing and learning about essential tools and best practices for transportation libraries. This year, topics covered at the Roundtable will spotlight the development of shared web-based collaborative tools, ideas from the Louisiana DOT/Louisiana Transportation Research Center library, an overview of the digitization project at the Northwestern University Library, easy things you can do with transportation data, and an update on SLA’s alignment initiatives. .

How Are You Getting on with RDA? Monday June 14, 4:00 – 5:30 p.m., Convention Center 230

Catalogers who have begun to implement RDA (Resource Description and Access) are invited to attend this discussion session. Lead by John Gallwey of the Institute of Transportation Studies Library, UC Berkeley, the discussion will seek to share experiences and expertise in using RDA. Let us know what you like or dislike about RDA; how do you think RDA improves on AACR2; what you think catalog users will notice or like about it. Even if you feel you have nothing much to say, turn up anyway as there may be much to learn.
